  12. Does anyone know where I can get some C routines / libraries to perform modem 
  13. communications?  How would I look in the public domain?  I haven't done this 
  14. in years.

  16. I have a program that will want to transfer an ASCII file anytime another 
  17. modem connects to it.  The program will be doing other things most of the 
  18. time, but when it detects another modem connecting it can stop what it's doing 
  19. service the file transfer and resume its previous task.

  21. Requirments:
  22. The transfer speed is not too important since the files will be small.
  23. The code needs to be compact to run on a 286 under DOS.
